So close to the metro, get out of Rome without being far away! Buy a daily pass for 7.5 euro or so and ride straight to the circus Maximus, colosseum etc in just a few minutes. No need to buy tickets in advance for the train, tap your card and go. Hotel is nice, multi lingual staff, amazing breakfast, clean up to date rooms. Good place to stay for home base to explore Rome!
The rooms were decent, comfy beds and everything was clean. I was expecting a bit more variety at breakfast, but it wasn’t a big deal for me. The worst part was the service. The staff at the restaurant and front desk weren’t friendly at all. They looked annoyed even when you just walked up to them — and I only asked one question the whole time I was there! The location’s a bit out of the center, but it’s right next to a metro and bus stop, so you can be downtown in about 15 minutes. We paid 42 euros for a taxi to the airport from the stop just around the corner.
We stayed here for 3 nights in June. The staff were unwelcoming and unhelpful. We got there early so knew we wouldn't be able to check in, we asked if we could leave bags with them but they were extremely slow in attending to us to get this done that we had to ask multiple times. Note, there were no other customers at this point. Asked for directions to the loo which were not clear that I had to help my friend find them as she felt uncomfortable to ask again. Staff never once came out from behind the desk and would point to where things are. We asked for plates, and the lady pointed to where they could be but said "she wouldn't know or to try the kitchen". At this point you would think customer service comes into play to come out and give us a hand or even allocate someone else to help. We then went into the breakfast area to get cutlery to which the man raised his voice saying we couldn't take anything from there almost like we were not paid customers and humiliated us in-front of other customers. He then went to get us some which took 10-15mins. Even when requesting an iron, they were extremely rude about having to give the money before we could take the iron. There was no kettle, tea or coffee or bottled water in the room. You would've expected this to be standard. Not much variety for breakfast. The only positive is that the metro is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. And there is a bus stop right out front.
