Hotel and Restaurant L Arena

Pleasantly surprised with the lovely atmosphere in the hotel and even more pleasantly surprised by the how professional and kind the staff is. From reception to bartending to breakfast staff.

Hotel was near the train station so a great choice on a rainy day. The whole property is beautifully maintained including rooms and pool area. My family room was 2 joined rooms and excessive as a solo traveler. Buffet breakfast was delicious, dinner was good but nothing stood out. Maybe I made the wrong menu choices.

This hotel has a central location. Our room was of a very good standard and winter prices are very reasonably. Parking is limited and advance booking essential. I guess the only alternative would be a public car park which is very close. Finding the hotel by car was a nightmare. Even high spec satnav doesn't take you to the right place. If you miss it then you have to work your way around a horrible, congested one-way system. Would recommend heading for Place Agricola Car Park where it's easy to walk to the hotel and get directions to their car park. The restaurant is a modern and pleasant room. I can Imagine in summer outside dining here would be lovely. Our Breton waitress was very good indeed. The food is fairly pricey and looked very good on the plate. Unfortunately it misfired on taste. Too much sauce and bland flavours. Fillet pork was overcooked and dry. Bill was over €70pp which frankly the cooking didn't merit.
