My wife and I stayed at Hotel Andaluz during our honeymoon road trip, and it completely exceeded our expectations. This hotel is a perfect mix of historic beauty and modern comfort. The Spanish-inspired architecture and cozy, intimate alcoves in the lobby create an atmosphere unlike anywhere else we’ve stayed. Our room was spotless, well designed, and peaceful ideal for a romantic getaway. Every detail felt thoughtful and intentional, from the plush bedding to the warm lighting. What really made our stay stand out, though, was the staff especially the valet. Hands down, he was the best valet we’ve ever met. Incredibly friendly, professional, fast, and genuinely kind. He set the tone from the moment we arrived and made us feel welcome and cared for. It’s rare to find someone who goes above and beyond like that. We also loved the rooftop bar, with its beautiful views and expertly crafted drinks. We’ve stayed in luxury hotels across the country, but Hotel Andaluz has a soul and warmth that’s hard to find. We’ll definitely be coming back!!

The first time we stayed here was during our first trip to ABQ before we moved here, and we loved the hotel. The building is charming and the lobby was beyond amazing. It had an almost Moroccan aesthetic with a fountain, colored lights, and private cabana booths, (although we could never figure out how to get served at one). We called on three occasions and were told you had to reserve one ahead of time and they were only for parties of 6+, yet ever time we went there to eat at the restaurant, we saw a couple occupying one or two of them. The lobby and elevator area used to be chock full of amazing artwork as well. To our dismay, we recently dined at the new Char restaurant and were shocked at the changes they've made to the lobby area. The positives: There's now a charming little bar and live entertainment. The negatives: They've gotten rid of ALL the artwork! Why?? And the beautiful stained glass room divider that was between the lobby and elevator area? A couple of narrow rows are now flanking the restaurant entrance, but that's it. And those charming cabana booths? They're now decorated in boring neutrals, mostly beige. Fountain is gone. I understand you need to update your look once and a while, but whoever their designer was utterly destroyed the charm and personality that was there previously. Thank goodness we all have dozens of pictures to preserve our previous memories.

Hotel is in an excellent location, nearby a lot of restaurants, brewerys and bars. The fitness center/gym is outside of the gym. It's literally a 10 second walk away from the front door though, some of the reviews saying 10-15 minute drive are going to the wrong location. Lobby is decorated wonderfully, parking is valet only. Staff are excellent, very attentive and kind. Rooms are... okay. AC fan did not work in mine as the thermostat showed. Worst part was the carpeted areas in the room were all very sticky and wet feeling? Basically could not walk on it without socks/shoes on. My coworkers reported the same in all of their rooms as well. It made the room feel nasty and honestly is the reason this is at 3 stars instead of 5.
