Just completed a 2 night stay, and was impressed by this boutique hotel. This small property is smartly designed, and clean. The staff was excellent — friendly, and professional. Though the room was a a bit small, it was pleasantly designed, clean, and comfortable. The included breakfast was very good. Downsides? A bit of noise from the freeway; but that’s the trade off for a very convenient location. Parking is valet only… I prefer to park my own car, but the valets were extremely professional, and I didn’t worry at all about my car. I highly recommend this hotel, and will surely be back.
Rooms and views are great, but the service really needs improvement. The hotel itself is clean and the views are beautiful. The rooms are comfortable and well-maintained. But let’s talk about the service… • Valet parking is $40 per night, which is unreasonable considering the garage is perfectly fine for self-parking. On top of that, the valet staff gave attitude when we didn’t tip — not a great guest experience. • “Complimentary” breakfast? Not quite. They charge a $5 “service fee,” which defeats the purpose of calling it complimentary. When I asked the restaurant front desk, the staff member explained it very dismissively, saying “It’s $35 usually, now it’s just $5 for service” — not helpful and definitely not friendly. • Happy hour pricing is a joke. Tiny sliders cost $12 when the regular menu price is $14. That’s not a deal. • Elevators were unreliable. One elevator was broken all weekend, leading to frustrating 5–10 minute waits every time. • Room service was inconsistent. We were in the room briefly during the day and missed cleaning service. When we asked later, we were told they don’t take cleaning requests after 11am. We only got fresh towels, nothing else. Overall: Beautiful property with potential, but the service and hidden fees left a bad impression. I expected better.
Stayed on Sunday night at 15th floor. Booked a suite for family of 5. Nice view at nighttime however very noisy due to being near the freeway. It’s an outdated building & could hear the toilet being flushed in the next room. Short drive from nearby attractions. Many “hidden fees” after checking out. Didn’t try their breakfast or complimentary wine.
