Hotel Ankaa

We had a great stay at Hotel Ankaa in Porto Cristo! A big shout-out to the very friendly and efficient woman on reception who checked us in around 00:30. It was a welcome pleasant experience after long travels and good start to the stay. The hotel’s a few minutes’ walk from the caves, which are worth a visit. Also it’s around 10 minutes walk to the harbour, with decent bars and restaurants, and then another 5 minutes to the beach — a lovely natural bay with no waves, perfect for a peaceful swim. The pool area was decent, especially the big double sunbeds with curtains for shade — super comfy and ideal for relaxing. And best of all: no kids! So it was calm, quiet, and blissfully free of any screeching. We stayed in one of the front-facing rooms by the road, but the noise others have mentioned wasn’t really an issue for us — slept pretty well. Breakfast was pretty decent, and at around €100 a night, we thought it was worth what we paid.

My first time ever coming to Porto Cristo, and also my first time ever solo travelling. I wanted a nice relaxing holiday and that’s definitely what i got. From start to finish everything was seamless at the hotel. I couldn’t thank the staff enough for how welcoming and friendly they are. The evening meal every night was made even better by one of the waiters, Stefan. He always made sure i was okay and made me feel so relaxed all the time, there really was nothing to ever complain about. The hotel is in a perfect location, with the marina and the beach not too far of a walk plus having a few stores very close to the hotel. I always felt safe and would definitely recommend staying at Hotel Ankaa if you were a solo traveller, with friends, family or a couple!

Hotel is gorgeous, really looks like the pictures. The room was beautiful and the pool. Staff and the food were nice. The location is perfect and the beach is gorgeous. I recommend doing a boat trip from the port. However, the pool must have been heated, making it not enjoyable to swim in. For June a heated pool was just too hot unfortunately. Overall, would recommend. Also, I went on a solo trip and felt completely safe.
