Hotel Antoniushof

Stayed only for one night on business, wish it could have been longer. Beautiful outdoor space for relaxing. Excellent rooms, clean and well kept. On-site restaurant was very nice, good selection for breakfast. Regular menu was a bit sparse, not many options.

Quiet and functional hotel. Old world charm with excellent food and service.

My boyfriend and I were very excited about coming here for the weekend due to its beautiful website and pictures. Right away however we were met with a slightly passive aggressive attitude from the staff regarding any questions we had about the food or any other aspects of the hotel. We then began to walk around the place and realized it is not very tidy or well kept. You will find insects and spider webs in much of the common areas as well as the rooms. To be honest didnt mind so much as it is fall now and can be difficult to keep spiders and other insects out of old buildings. The real deal breakers for us were 1) the horrible mattresses which you completely sink into and give no support ..... we both barely slept due to this fact. 2) Any food besides the vegetables were clearly frozen and reheated from the local Aldi super market. These things coupled with a passive aggressive staff which makes you feel as though it is your fault for any small thing which is wrong, made us both leave a day early and not even stay our second night we payed for! They didn't even ask us when we checked out why we were leaving, nor did they care. I hope those who stay here have better luck.
