Hotel Apollo

This hotel is amazing! Extremely close to the beach and all local amenities. Breakfast very good and plenty to choose from. Rooms spacious we were on the second floor with sea views and we could watch sunset every night from the balcony.

A nice hotel next to the beach. The room and breakfast was nice. The only problem we encountered was a language barrier. The woman working at the reception had no knowledge of the English or German language which caused some initial problems checking in and out. Luckily however the hotel manager, who was very friendly and spoke English was called in and he was able to help us. So 4 stars instead of 5. I have stayed in many hotels around the world and this is the first hotel I have ever stayed in where the hotel receptionist wasn't able to speak English.

I stayed at Hotel Apollo in Athens at the end of May. While the location and general comfort were fine, I left with a heavy heart due to a deeply upsetting experience. During my stay, a gold necklace with great sentimental value — which I had kept in my wallet — went missing. I had specifically asked for my room not to be cleaned, so I was shocked to discover that the necklace was no longer there. I searched thoroughly many times and am absolutely certain I did not take it out myself. Despite contacting the hotel multiple times and even calling to follow up, I received no helpful response. The necklace has not been returned, and I am extremely disappointed with the lack of effort or transparency. To make matters worse, the rooftop area — one of the key reasons I chose this hotel — was closed without any explanation, simply "because it was." That was never mentioned in advance.
