Location is excellent, corner to Gran Via. But rooms and bathrooms need renovation. TV is very old. One of the elevators is very small, doesn't fit big luggage. Breakfast is OK
Professional staff, although they mis-guided us, unfortunately. The hallways smell quite smoky, as there are "rooms allocated for smokers" The lift is horrible, only large enough for 1 person with a backpack, REALLY small, less than 1.5Ft or 45CM wide. Horrible sight when I first saw that. Rooms are unfairly sized, with our friend getting a room the size of a cleaning cupboard. Our room, has the toilet separate from the shower, which is inconvenient, toilet is wedged into the corner, making it tight and the door stop is disturbingly dirty. The bed is well done, but the pillows are long and very thin. No kettle is provided, along with the charge of nearly 10 euros per day to use the minibar. The safe is unusual, requring a credit card.. Make sure you check the recent purchases after your stay. The cooling part of the aircon dosent seem to work. The shower/bath dosent come with a bath mat. Use flip flops to prevent slippage. Location is noisy as heck at night, with noisy neighbours. Breakfast is good, european and spanish-esque, but the room is way to small, fitting 4 people around a tiny table. Overall, the hotel should be a 3 star rating.
Let me make it simple and short! If you don't care about the location and you care about the comfort, DO NOT STAY THERE! the only positive thing was the location. The receptionist (Borja) was extremely unfriendly and arrogant, didn't even say hello and welcome to me.... very noisy rooms! You can here the neighbouring rooms well! Not a good one :(
