Hotel Astir Palace

Astir plainly offers what you pay for. The facility has seen its better days, but that's pretty much its only/main con. Everything is clean (no funky smells, or heavy covering odors), things are maintained, the personnel is kind and willing to help, the food is good (a bit wider choice of fresh fruit would help). The location is perfect if you're seeking a decent sand beach free from the omnipresent paid or hotel reserved sunbeds, town proximity, yet avoiding the loudest sources of music and shows, this is a great compromise. Overall a great value for a buck.

The location was a big plus, right on the beach. The minus - the water and beach were dirty there, too many small boats, some oil split... The rooms are small, the furniture is very old, but comfortable. We've had the garden view room, which is basically a balcony to an alley with some grass 🤭 The cleaning ladies did a great job 💯! We've only had breakfast there, so I don't know about other meals of the day, but I was disappointed. For a whole week, there were the same dishes. 3 types of eggs, some ham, tomatoes and cucumbers, some cooked mushrooms and peppers, oats and gems, and dried fruits. There's not much to choose from, no diversity. Everything was cold.

We payed €90 tax for the room wich was not mentioned at the beginning, the rooms are shit also the shower head is as high as your chest you need to crouch to shower. It’s like a nursing home/jail
