The location is great, just two blocks away from the beach. However, the stay was an awful experience overall. On my first night, while I was sleeping, a man opened the door and tried to walk into my room. As a woman traveling alone, I was terrified. It turns out that the front desk didn’t check me in properly and gave a complete stranger access to my room with a card key. The front desk apologized but offered nothing to make up for the very big error. I demanded that, at the very least, they reprogram my key so that the stranger couldn’t enter my room anymore. Then, the next day, my AC started leaking water and it began dripping all over the floor right next to my bed. Mind you, it’s almost 100 degrees in Rio and I had to sleep with no working AC. I asked to change rooms this time and they said they were all booked for the night. So I had no choice but to deal with leaking water ruining the room floor and splashing me the entire night.

My stay at this hotel was highly disappointing for several reasons. I couldnt make a booking review since I used a “partner website” First, the room was exceptionally small, leaving barely enough space to move comfortably. To make matters worse, the air conditioning remote didn’t work, preventing me from adjusting the swing settings. The room had a strong, unpleasant odor and desperately needed ventilation, but the air conditioning made the tiny space unbearably cold within minutes, even at a moderate setting of 24–25 degrees. This left me with two uncomfortable options: endure the bad smell all night or freeze. Unfortunately, I caught a cold due to the low temperature. Noise was another major issue. The sound of the lift was clearly audible from inside my room throughout the night, making it extremely difficult to sleep. The walls are made of papers, when the next room enter pincodes for the safe, we can clearly hear every bibs… The bathroom facilities were inadequate and lacked basic hygiene considerations. Only a single tiny bar of soap was provided for both the sink and shower—completely unacceptable. Additionally, there was no shampoo, a standard amenity in any hotel. Everywhere was full of mold. Overall, this hotel is simply not worth the hassle. The prices aren’t even competitive for this kind of rooms.

My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing for several reasons. First, the room was absurdly small, leaving barely enough space to move around. To make matters worse, the air conditioning remote didn’t work, preventing me from adjusting the swing settings. The room had an awful odour and desperately needed air circulation, but the air conditioning made the tiny space unbearably cold within minutes, even at a standard setting of 24–25 degrees. This left me with two unpleasant choices: endure the horrible smell all night or freeze. Unfortunately, I caught a cold due to the cold temperature. The noise from the lift was another major issue. I could hear it clearly from inside my room throughout the night, making it nearly impossible to get any sleep. The bathroom facilities were inadequate and unhygienic. They provided just one tiny bar of soap to be shared between the sink and shower—absolutely unacceptable. Additionally, there was no shampoo provided, which is a basic amenity in any hotel. The check-in process was shockingly slow. Despite having two staff members at the reception, it took nearly 20 minutes to process just two check-ins before it was my turn. The worst part of my experience was dealing with an incredibly rude and unprofessional staff member during check-in. This arrogant older man made the process unnecessarily complicated, even though I had completed all the steps online and prepaid for my stay. He insisted that I fill out all my details on a piece of paper. When I attempted to ask a question, he couldn’t understand English, so I used Google Translate to communicate. Instead of helping, he mocked me in front of other guests, sneering at me and my phone while continuing a conversation with a colleague. His behavior was appalling and left me feeling disrespected. Overall, this hotel is not worth the headache. The prices are not even competitive—I stayed at a fantastic hotel just ten minutes away for a similar rate. I strongly advise against staying here.
