Hotel Athos Rmt

The people working there were very friendly and helpful, from the guys at the reception to the cleaning lady or the guy that brought the food ordered room-service. I had food only in my room but it was tasty, maybe the water was a bit pricey at 16lei (3.x euro) for 0.75 liter of still water. The rooms are nice and spacious, from the room that I had I could see the hills surrounding the city (the hotel is near the outskirts of Cluj) in a newly developed area. The bathroom is good and has everything you need including a brand set of liquid soap/ shampoo / body lotion (Ritual); good towels. The shower was a walk-in type. The bed is comfortable, there is an air conditioner, TV, a fridge (a bit noisy) and a water heater device to prepare hot water for the provided coffee/tea. The hotel has a big parking lot with a barrier. The only downside for me was the Internet connection. While it worked when sitting at the desk, once I went to the bed and tried to work lounged, the situation changed, the WiFi link went to 2..3 megabits (not megabytes) level which made the web browsing abysmal. I repeat, it did not worked in the bed but it certainly worked when sitting at the desk so maybe a small thumb down for the coverage. It was a nice stay, I would certainly come again if my roads bring me again in Cluj.

Very nice hotel — clean, comfortable rooms and a good breakfast to start the day. One of the biggest pluses is the location: just 100 meters from the bus station with direct connections to the city center. Super convenient for getting around. Great value overall!

It's nice, good location and price. The breakfast is super good. Big and clean rooms and bathrooms. Really recommend it if you're in town for only a few days.
