Hotel Atlântico Copacabana

The hotel location is good and the people working here are friendly. The breakfast seems reasonably good. The rooms are okay if not a little bit dated, particularly the bathroom showers which leak water. The mattresses are also probably need a replacement but they are okay for now. The hotel has a very solid feel to it when is built well but could use a little TLC bring it back up a notch from 2.5 to maybe 3.5 stars.

It was an ok place. Definitely not worth the price that I paid. The towels were old and worn, you could see through them and it looked like they were used to clean the floors with. The elevators buttons were broken and we had to use the service elevator most of time. There was a tray of dirty dishes outside our room the entire 5 night stay. Not the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in but I certainly would never go back.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. Positives: location, the room was spacious, reasonable price, and decent breakfast. Negatives: our room (407) had not been renovated since the hotel was built (80s?). The furniture is old, the walls and ceilings were stained, the taps leak. Out of 4 nights, our room was only "cleaned" once, and after several requests. They didn't even do our beds. The hotels has no irons (allegedly, a 4* hotel...) and there is no insulation from the noise from the road. The mattresses had no mattress protectors, we left with insect bites on our legs and arms. No kettle in the room, but complimentary water was provided upon arrival. The wi-fi generally worked well, both in the room and in the common areas. Avoid, I think you can find better places. The lack of cleanliness and noise were really disturbing.
