The shampoo in our room was empty and the door to our room was hard to close. On the other hand, the room was spacious, nicely decorated, and breakfast was very good. Overall, nice hotel for a good price.
The location of this hotel is simply beautiful. It's right next to the river the Rhine. From our hotel room we had the prettiest view. The hotel itself looks very nice, very clean. We booked a family room for two adults and a 15 year old child. What we got was a double bed and a folding bed next to it. The folding bed had the thinnest mattress ever. You could feel every part of the metal bed in your back. It was truly horrible. The next day I told an employee about it and we got an extra mattress. It was still horrible, but a little less. Breakfast was not all that special. There was some old overripe fruit, juice, tea, coffee, cheese, eggs etc. As a vegan, I could only eat a bun with some jam so that was a bummer but I wasn't expecting a lot. The staff wasn't that friendly. We met three employees, one man and two women. One of them seemed kind at first, but at my complaint about the bed she just said she would tell her colleague. Not even a "oh I'm sorry, we'll fix it for you". That was a bit disappointing. At breakfast two staff members walked past and they didn't even say good morning. When we checked out, we met the second woman at the reception desk and she was really friendly. Overall we're satisfied but a lot could be better.
Overpriced hotel. Room and breakfast were oke but not worth 81 euro. Furthermore bad service at the reception. Reception was not manned at 0800 in the morning. Had to wait 25 minutes after the receptionist was called. His first response: "I thought you didn't want an early check out".
