Hotel Austin University

Old and in need of a lot of maintenance. The rooms are clean, but like you cleaned for your siblings to visit, not your in-laws. Beds are decent but not stellar. Props for the pillow selection. Front desk staff is constantly changing and has one of the slowest check ins I've experienced, even with a reservation or a repeat guest. I booked several stays because of the location but when my existing trips have passed I will be finding a new place to stay.

Bed was clean, older, non-renovated rooms, dark brown motif. Front desk staff friendly . The breakfast buffet did not have much selection. Great location. There is no housekeeping service every day. Had to request additional linen from front desk staff.

The hotel was huge, but dated. I didn't care for the process at check in. I understood there was one person handling the desk, but I didn't like being checked in at the same time Another guest was still being helped. I prefer my information to remain private. The cleanliness left plenty to be desired. The room didn't seem bad, but i went to go check the bathroom & found the toilet seat was disgusting. There was urine down the front of the toilet. I took a picture & was going to speak with the front desk but we were utterly exhausted. None the less, I refused to sit on the toilet at all.. my husband cleaned it with wipes. No continental breakfast. The parking lot definitely needs better lighting. There was a white truck that looked very sketchy with some guys sitting in it.. moved when we pulled in. Not somewhere we'll stay again.
