Hotel Avandaro Golf & Spa Resort

The location is superb, and the facilities are beautiful. However, they don't pay attention to details to create amazing experiences. At the restaurant, some dishes are delicious, and some don't meet the expectations. The service is random. You can find friendly associates or some associates who seem to be mad and can be rude. While the location and facilities are commendable, attention to detail and consistent service can significantly impact overall satisfaction.

The place is beautiful and perfect for those of us with dogs. I enjoyed the food and had a great yoga class. However, the level of service is mediocre at best, way below what it should be for the price they charge. The staff are poorly trained, unable to provide answers to basic questions. They have no sense of diligence, particularly in the spa.

The location and facilities are pretty nice. However, the experience is ruined my the incompetent staff. I was so surprised abt the lack of service since it is quite expensive. 1. When I checked in the receptionist didn’t even explain one thing or show map of facilities. She just handed me the key and that was it. 2. I was mountain biking in Valle Bravo and had a big crash. I went to receptionist bleeding all over and asked if they had a first aid kit. He made no effort to check and told me to ask the Starbucks. He went right back to watching tik tok. It’s hard to imagine you can even run a hotel without a first aid kit. 3. I ordered a steak and it came on a super hot skillet which was awesome. However , the waiter placed it right in front of me and the grease was splashing in my face and all over my clothes cuz it was so hot. I instinctively pushed it away and burned my hand because there was no other place to grab it. I burned my fingers pretty good and have blisters all over them. No apology was given. 4. In the restaurant Angie was amazing and the only good employee I encountered at this hotel. There was one tall more built waiter that always pretended to not understand my Spanish. A situation I have never encountered in Mexico. 5. There are hundreds of staff here and they are sitting around doing nothing but looking at their phones annd blasting tik tok at full volume. It’s pretty annoying as you walk around the hotel you get the tik tok noise pollution from the staffs phones. When you need anything they seemed bothered. Especially the reception staff was partaking in this behavior. Clearly whoever is in charge of managing and hiring people here has no idea what they are doing. If the service could match the price you pay here I would consider coming back.
