Hotel Baia dei Mori

This is a wonderful Neilson resort that my family and I really enjoyed staying at. The food was AMAZING, with the freshly made pizza being a family favourite. Helpfully, this resort had child-friendly food that the kids would try (and often like) that wasn’t just chips and fish fingers. However, the desserts here definitely did not meet the standard of the other food; it was acceptable, but some of the desserts were tasteless or not worth it, the only REALLY good desert was the gelato (they only served this at dinner) which was delicious. The breakfasts were very nice, but I wish they had slightly more fresh fruit. Three nights a week you could either pay for the special night they did (Sardinian night etc) or go out, so we went to some lovely restaurants those nights. The kids really enjoyed kids club, with my youngest going in full-time and making lots of friends. They give free rash vests, bags and hats for the kids and instructed my youngest one (not the elder two) to keep on her rash vest which really helped in her not getting burnt. My two teenagers signed in and out as they pleased saying that it was “quite fun”, which anyone with teenagers know is high praise! They did plenty of activities and my youngest loved the water sports, plus the team leaders were so friendly and fun. The fitness opportunities were great and offered a range of classes options to which I attended many. The instructors were really supportive! The cycling options were great as well. The sea and beach was gorgeous and the water was beautiful and clear, but also not too cold which made it lovely to swim in. The water sport opportunities were great, and we were frequent participants in the sailing race. The pool was lovely and cool, with sun-beds surrounding it. We didn’t use the spa often but my daughter got her nails done (a basic file and paint) which was €25 but they did a good job. There was a pool bar which was nice, selling alcohol but also non-alcoholic drinks and soft drinks (which my kids made the most of) and it was next to the gelato stand which did lovely ice cream, personal favourites being the mint-choc chip and exotic fruits. But to be clear you do have to give them your room number and sign so they can put it on your room tab.The rooms were nice with GOOD air conditioning, a nice bathroom (but nothing special) and comfortable beds. Another really helpful thing is the photographers who took lots of photos and uploaded them to the on-site Photo Booth where we got plenty of pictures of the kids in kids club. Overall, we had a great time here and would recommend.

This was our first Neilson Holiday and what a surprise! We all absolutely loved it! The villa we stayed in was really nice, plenty of room for the 3 of us, comfortable and clean. The food in restaurant was really good, plenty of variety each day. Never had a problem getting seated, although it did get very busy. The way the activities are organised by age group was great and ensured all the kids were with similar aged kids, which was fab. Our son had a whale of a time with the other Stingrays and got the chance to sail, windsurf, swim, paddleboard, play tennis and go for a bike ride. The kids club usually opened from 9.30 - 5.30 which was great but on a Tuesday and Thursday it opened at 2.30 and stayed open till 11pm which meant parents get the chance to go out for a meal without the kids! Such a great idea! Overall we will definitely go on more Nielson holidays, and would love to come back here, the location is stunning. Thanks to the whole team for making our holiday such a memorable one!

Lovely Neilson holiday. The childcare team is particularly excellent. Hotel staff were not very proactive (it was hard to buy drinks in the restaurant), and our room got flooded and had a fire alarm, and we were regularly given too few towels. However, the awesome activities, sandy beach, and friendly neilson staff more than made up for the hiccups we experienced.
