Hotel Baita Fiorita

We went there for the great italian pizza. I ordered pizza margharita and what i got was not even close to pizza. It was just some slice of tortilla with tomato and a little bit of cheese. It was just all crunchy and cold. When i went to the waiter to argue about it being a pizza he told me, that this was his original italian home made pizza. Do not recommend it at all and certainly don’t order pizza in this restaurant.

I write bad reviews really rare but the experience with this strudel was more than just bad. First of all, it is written that this restaurant is specialized in making strudel, the waiters told me that the chef does strudel using very old receipt BUT please don’t try it! It is awful, I threw away everything, it was not eatable! It was not strudel at all, made with a lot of raisins, burned apple and candide oranges, with pastry that is far away of puff pastry (or shortcrust). The upper part of pastry was also burned. It is also important to mention that if you want to try this strudel inside their restaurant it will cost you 5 euro BUT for take away - 6 euro!, because of packaging (the aluminum piece of paper!). All this you can see in the photos! My advice: don’t go to this restaurant for the strudel, there are many other “pasticceria” and “panificio” (try in Bormio) as well as other restaurants where you can find HOME MADE tasty strudel.

Sadly we were refused service. The woman told us to reserve and come tomorrow. The restaurant was empty but they said everything was reserved. We are guessing it is our attire. Three bike 🚳 packers do not smell of 💰 therefore... No food for us. 👍
