Hotel Balandra

Can honestly say this was our best experience hotel in Manta. We have been in Manta before but as soon as we have arrived to this hotel (with transfer provided by the hotel), we had such exceptional customer service. We arrived earlier than expected and the team with no expectations still did their best to accommodate us earlier than check in time. The room was always clean and the cleaning team always did amazing job on daily basis. Our highlight has been the team that served us during breakfast El Faro as part of the hotel, the food was always made exceptionally and the thought and care that’s put into when each family comes in to have breakfast is very thoughtful and this definitely comes from the head Maria Jose, she took very good care of our family and she always ensured all queries and requests are fulfilled. Will definitely be coming back.

We fondly refer to Balandra as our home away from home. We only stay there when traveling to Manta or as our stopover when leaving or returning from the airport. The staff are courteous and helpful. We enjoy our breakfasts at el Faro restaurant on the premises as well as the dinners and takeout. Maria Jose is our favorite person. She is in charge of hospitality. She greets us with hugs and makes us feel special. I have to say we have never had a bad experience at Balandra. They even pick us up at the airport with a assistance and a smile.

Our stay at Hotel Balandra was absolutely wonderful! We spent two nights in one of their charming bungalow rooms, which was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with great amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. What truly made our experience special was the exceptional service from the staff, especially Maria Jose. She went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome, treating us like family and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. Her kindness and attentiveness genuinely made our stay more enjoyable. The hotel’s location is perfect—right in the city center, with the beach and shopping mall just a short walk away. Additionally, they offer a convenient shuttle service to the airport in Manta, which made our travel experience even smoother. Whether you’re visiting Manta for a quick getaway or a longer stay, I highly recommend Hotel Balandra for its comfort, convenience, and outstanding hospitality.
