Hotel Barbarahof Saalbach

This was our best family stay ever at Barbarahof hotel. Children friendly, excellent food, nice spacious room with the view. Everything is near by. Very friendly staff.

Do you know the feeling of visiting good friends after several years and immediately feeling "at home"? Just go to the fridge, grab a beer and chill together by the fireplace? That's cool! At Christmas 2024 I was back at the Barbarahof after about 15 years. It was as described above. It was the first visit for my son (14). We travel quite a lot and know hotels, holiday apartments and motorhome parking spaces. The hotel Barbarahof is the best address so far. The rooms are noticeably clean. The size varies depending on the category, even the smaller ones are sufficient. But the larger ones are cooler. The service is first class. For skiing, great service with the "train" to the ski slope, back to the slope right to the door (depending on the snow conditions). The crowning glory is the food. Even my son (critical athlete with very specific requirements) would immediately move into the Barbarahof as his permanent home. ... Also worth a trip in summer. The boss (himself a passionate cyclist) always has tips for bikers.

Not a hotel visit, however my family and I we'd been coming back to the restaurant within it throughout our stay in Saalbach – with a good reason why. The dinner, each time without exceptions, had been absolutely superb. What kept us coming back so much was also the ambience, quiet and cozy just enough for a perfect experience during the time we were either dining or just having drinks. Too, the staff (most specifically the Croat. waiters, Franjo & Josip) went out of their way for us countless times, and were exceptionally kind. It is very worth both coming and returning to, and we immensely thank the staff once again for the very best experience we'd had so far :)
