Hotel Barsey by Warwick

I stayed at the Hotel Barsey by Warwick as part of a Tomorrowland package, and overall, it was a pretty good spot. Its location in Brussels is definitely a strong point – I could easily walk to some great restaurants and bakeries, and being so close to the train station made it really efficient to get around the city and to the festival activities. That convenience alone made a big difference for my trip. There was a little bit of a mix-up when I checked in, though. The staff gave me a key for room 409, but I must have misheard because I ended up trying it on room 408. Surprisingly, the key actually worked for 408! Thankfully, no one had checked into that room yet, so it wasn't a huge deal, but it could have been awkward if someone was already settled in there. Something for them to maybe double-check in the future. Aside from that small hiccup, my room was really nice. It felt quite spacious and definitely seemed newer compared to what some of my friends in the group got. All the amenities were there, and the water heater worked perfectly, which is always a plus. My only real complaint was that the air conditioning felt pretty weak, which made it a little less comfortable to sleep. However, considering the price I paid, I'd still say my stay was good and the hotel offers decent value.

Room was spacious, nice bath as well. Staff was slow and rude. We checked in at 15:45 when check in time was 15:00. Friend who arrived together got on the desk later but were helped sooner. Our room wasn’t ready and we were told to wait for 2 minutes. Had to wait for almost 45 minutes. That is not what you want when it’s sunny outside. Staff didn’t check on us, just told us to wait every time we asked. In every other hotel where i had to wait, i got offered a drink, a free breakfast, a “better” room that was already clean. Here i got asked to wait. Aircon didn’t function properly. Luckily it wasn’t hot outside. Gave this room a six because it’s decent but don’t go here when you’re in a hurry. Parking was full also after check out times. Staff didn’t know anything about parking around the hotel. Gave wrong information.

Extremely HOT and unbearable. No A/C and the windows cannot open more than a few centimeters because they have a security feature to prevent them from opening all the way for safety. However, that means there is no way for the heat to escape. The room is much hotter than outside. Staff refused to open the windows. They brought a fan to the room which doesn't help at all, and might even make it worse because it generates more heat. This one aspect made the whole stay terrible. Do not stay here in the summer. Even if the weather cools down outside, it doesn't cool down inside. As I was in the lobby, I heard someone else call and complain that the room was extremely hot. It's a problem with no solution.
