So we chose this place for its location to the train station. We were very pleased with our greeting room and amenities. But no matter what you offer, or where it is, the quality of service is often what you remember. We were greeted at the front desk by Kamilla Pfeifer ( please excuse me if I have misspelled the name) This young woman made us feel truly welcome at our first meeting, and coincidentally we encountered her several times , she was kind, informative and made us feel like we were special relatives visiting her home. I would recommend this Hotel as a good value in a good location, and I really hope you are lucky enough to meet Ms Pfeifer.
I have been here many times, and I can say that... POSITIVES: Breakfast: A wide variety of food, including fresh fruits, eggs, sausages, and pancakes. The cappuccino and espresso taste good. Rooms: Slightly old-fashioned but always clean. Location: Close to the city center, located in a quiet inner block without car noise. NEGATIVES: RECEPTION: The staff is not well-qualified. Simple tasks take a long time, and they often seem unsure of what to do. Communication via email is complicated and inefficient. CHECK-IN: Starting from mid-2024, check-in has taken us between 30 to 60 minutes. This is a terrible experience, especially for a short 2-night stay. PROBLEMS: My colleagues and I experienced a serious issue where they accidentally withdrew a cancellation fee from our accounts even though we did not make a reservation. They saved bank card information in their system, and due to mistakes by reception staff, they can accidentally charge you for anything. My recommendation is to use Revolut or a similar service instead of your personal or company card. This is a nice hotel with excellent breakfasts and a great location, but issues with the reservation process have led me to decide not to stay here again.
Rooms were horrible. Cost more then a 100 euro a night and the rooms were old. Scratched desk and side tables. It is bad maintained. When I took a shower the shower cabinet fell on me. The elevator was small and old. They did not provide a new bottle of water the second and third day. The mattress was hard and the pillow too high and uncomfortable. They wanted to charge 69 euro extra for early check in. Not worth the money and a overall horrible experience. Bad standard. Too few employees at check out. They promised to send bill by email but did not do it. Only the breakfast was good. Overall a complete rip off
