Hotel Bella Grande

Cute hotel in a great area. Close to the sights and shopping areas. Spacious rooms with sitting area and separate bedroom. Bathroom is functional and modern. Our room didn't have AC, which allowed the room to get slightly warm during the recent heatwave (though opening the window in the morning helped). Breakfast buffet looked quite solid in the morning, but it's a bit pricey unless you're planning to really partake.

Overview - This is a restaurant with a hotel and I say that lightly. The restaurant is the key feature little is left what is a hotel. There are much better hotels at the same price and in an equally good location. If you want to picture in the restaurant then just book a table. Nothing else in the hotel looks as the restaurant and lobby. The staff are very polite and very friendly but again, you can tell everything is catered first to the restaurant needs and then to guests. Room - The rooms are fine. If you get a small one, you have a small room. That said, it is true that there is no airflow other than heating. It does get warm so be prepared to open the window. Comfortable bed and clean room. The rooms are indeed very small, if you get the standard rooms, with no desk. There are wardrobes, someone had mentioned they do not exist. No coffee machine but there is a kettle. No fridge but front desk wills tore stuff in their fridge. Hotel - There is a small lounge area which is smack between different parts of the restaurant. This means, if you want to get work done, enjoy a drink or just relax you and between where service is being run, where people are walking to and from the restaurant as well as where people trying to get to their rooms walk through. This is what I mean by a restaurant with a hotel, the restaurant comes first. This small lounge as low tables with improper chairs thus no practical way to work. If you need to get something done you can maybe be placed at the bar while the staff prepare for lunch service which is again not a pleasant experiences. - Outside of lunch and dinner service, while it is possible to have a drink, good luck getting people's attention. I was twice forgotten about after being told they would bring a menu and another after ordering a drink (thankfully this was never even charged) Breakfast Though the pictures indicate that you may be having breakfast in the lovely courtyard, you are in fact tucked away in a windowless and dark room. That said, very good breakfast.

Let me start by saying the staff was amazing. But: no fridge, no kettle, no coffee maker, plus the fact that all inward facing rooms have music blasting until 11:00 PM+…. It’s not exactly relaxing. We didn’t have a bad time, but I would not recommend staying here especially given the options around. It’s just too much inconvenience.
