Very good hotel, perfect for anyone wanting to relax in a beautiful natural environment. There are lots of hiking trails in the area for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits, and a park, swimming pools and spa facilities for those who don’t. The rooms are comfortable and the staff very helpful and friendly – in fact, there’s a nice family atmosphere, which is not a given in hotels. The restaurant is nice, with a vegetarian option for dinner (again, not always a given) – a special mention to Paolo, the maître, and the other members of staff, who are always helpful and pleasant.
We had dinner in the restaurant- was less than impressed with the food and service. The owners have two giant German Shepherd dogs roaming freely around that quite frankly are a bit scary. The owners allowed the dogs to roam inside and out with no regard to anyone else and potentially quite dangerous. The demeanor of the service staff was less than friendly- particularly it seemed if you were non-German speaking. Food was mediocre. Can’t recommend this place.
Only ate at the restaurant for dinner. We had a fixed menu. Appetizer buffet was great. Other items from the fixed menu were not good. The apple strudel was mouldy. The meall for 2 people was 80 euro. It was an ok environment but the MOULDY STRUDEL was an awful experience.
