We had an absolutely amazing time staying at this resort. The front desk staff was less friendly than expected, and we wish they had communicated the beach towel policy more clearly in English. The entertainment staff was the best—especially Ms. Ale. Our kids loved playing in the pool and spending time with her. She is great with kids and does her job with genuine enthusiasm.
Generally nice hotel. Great buffet breakfast, not so great margaritas from a machine. Rooms were clean. Views were nice. Sand is more rocky so just be aware. The pools closed at 6pm every day, which is was just odd. Just close them at sundown during your high volume times?! Jacuzzis were also not hot at all, even after giving time to “heat up”. 😢
We stayed at Benalma hotel for 6 nights and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel rooms especially were lovely, the sea views were incredible. However, there were some areas that we wouldn’t rate so highly. These include; the lifts, there are only 4 very small lifts that serve the whole 12 floors of this hotel which often means long waits especially if they arrive full. In addition, the all inclusive drinks package wasn’t really worth it. The cocktails were not authentic and very disappointing. If you wanted a good cocktail you had to pay. The sky bar on that note is not included if you are all inclusive and we would say it’s pretty expensive. As expected, but hoped wouldn’t be, the food buffet daily is always similar or the same, especially lunch and breakfast spreads. The other two restaurants are not included in your stay unless you stay for more than 7 nights, then you get one free meal. We were never given pool towels on arrival, and staff don’t seem as though they want to talk to you, not sure if that’s just a language barrier however. When checking out we never got a “thank you” or any means of questions regarding how our stay was. Pools get busy especially over weekends but the beaches and the sea is lovely for a swim. We did pay extra for a sea view in this hotel, however on arrival we realised that every room has a sea view so this felt like a waste of money to us. Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel, but we do feel there are improvements to be made and there is better hotels out there for the money.
