The staff at Hotel Bentley are truly exceptional-always kind, helpful, and incredibly accommodating. Every interaction feels welcoming and genuine, and they consistently go out of their way to make guests feel cared for. It’s that level of hospitality that sets this place apart. Our organization always chooses to stay here when we’re in Alexandria for work travel, and we bring guests with us who are visiting as well. The service is reliable, thoughtful, and truly appreciated every time. We’re grateful to have such a wonderful place to count on!
The hotel is a historic place and there are lots of historical things inside the hotel. I was disappointed that I couldn't take any pictures inside the building as it is very beautiful. I will say the hallway carpets do need to be replaced. There are no types of breakfast items inside the hotel that we could find. The room we stayed in was very nice and comfortable. The bed wasn't too bad but the pillows need replacing. Overall it was a decent stay for 1 night. There is no real parking garage. You have to take your chance to find a place to park in the evening.
Two nights for a wedding. Check in clerk uninformative (parking, elevators, etc) Room hot upon entry, A/C not cooling. Had to dress for dinner in hot room. Was repaired and cooled off by the time we returned. Nice old style room was fine except for DIRTY carpet. AND I MEAN FILTHY. Mgr said she’d take care of it; but all we got was 40% discount for second night. Floor was dirty for our two nights. Ck photo of my socks after walking on carpet.
