Great service, comfortable beds and cozy spacious rooms, amazing breakfast selection, sunny terrace, delicious a la carte menu.
Great Place for lunch outdoors with a view of Oberlech! The sun was beautiful today, so was the tomahawk steak, lobster pasta and the mussels pot. Will come back for more! The walk was bergbahn to Bergkristall was relatively short and easy too
We recently stayed at the Bergkristall for a duration of 8 nights. While the hotel’s location on the mountain, with direct access to the ski lifts, is commendable, we were unfortunately quite disappointed with the level of service we received during our stay. Upon our arrival, we were informed that we should have notified the hotel in advance regarding our dog, despite the hotel’s policy allowing dogs. It is important to note that our dog is a service animal, which necessitates its constant presence with its owner. Consequently, we were initially assigned to a room where dogs are not permitted. After unpacking, we were subsequently informed that we would need to relocate to a smaller room that accommodates dogs. In addition, I found quite offensive how the owner of the hotel discriminated against us for being first time customers and booking through booking.com alluding that we shouldn’t be treated the same way as long standing customers of theirs. The following morning at breakfast, I was carrying my ski boots in a bag when the owner inquired if there was a dog inside, which I found to be quite inappropriate. Additionally, we were reprimanded for requesting a few extra digital room keys. I was further chastised for keeping my skis in the room to prepare them for waxing, and the receptionist displayed rudeness and sarcasm when she observed me with my skis the next day. Lastly, we were charged 15 euros for taking my daughter’s breakfast in a package to consume in our room, a practice I have not encountered in any other hotel. Overall, it was disheartening to feel unwelcome and to be reprimanded throughout our stay. We had anticipated a more positive experience, especially given the considerable expense incurred for our accommodation.
