We loved our stay at Hotel Berna in Milan! It was a great location next to the central train station and also easily accessible to the subway. The room was great and roomy with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was nice and a safe was also included in the room. The staff were very friendly and also provided us with free waters at checkout. We would definitely stay here again if coming back to Milan!

This is a great hotel in a great area. It’s a 5 min walk from the station. I really enjoyed the customer service here. Everyone was very helpful and nice. I ordered a soup as I got sick on my trip and they were kind to accommodate me with forks and spoons and microwaved my food for me. The room is lovely and very comfortable. I had a good nights sleep here. I don’t usually write reviews for hotels but I will definitely be coming back here again

With an affordable room rate, one shouldn't expect five-star service. However, I feel it's important to share my experience to help future guests and the hotel management. During our check-in on 04.06.2025, between 16:00–17:30, the receptionist on duty unfortunately displayed a lack of professionalism. He did not offer a welcoming attitude, and there was no acknowledgment or polite response-even when being addressed with a courteous "please" from us. Also, when I asked, in a friendly manner, whether I could sit in the lobby while waiting for the check-in process, his reply, "You can sit anywhere you want," came across as dismissive and a bit rude. No "thank you", "have a nice stay" or "welcome to Berna" for the whole check in process. I would like to highlight some positivities of our stay. The staff member who guided us to rooms 653 and 654 was very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast service team the next morning was also kind and attentive. If the receptionist in question happens to be the hotel owner, I understand this feedback may not apply in the usual sense. But if he is part of the staff, I genuinely hope he can improve his customer service skills—especially in communication and English clarity. We had difficulty understanding him, whereas communication with other team members was clear and smooth. Overall, there were both positive and negative elements to our stay, and I hope this feedback is received in the constructive spirit in which it is intended.
