Hotel Beskid Balneo Medical Resort & Spa

Such a beautiful hotel with wonderful surroundings. Food was delicious prices were fair/reasonable. It is just pitty how you organize spa. I was expecting to recice sheet for the sauna (it is unhygienic to take a sauna in a bathing suit, although you gave us towels for sauna, but how do you expect customers to take steam sauna with towel? …it would be completely wet after first use and it would dry for hours…) Maybe you could ve clearer with SPA opening hours. When we came to spa around 14:40…saunas still did not work althought lady at reception told us they would work from 13:00, but you did not turned it on cause there were no customers in the spa…(her words..) When we tried spa and sauna after dinner, it was shortly after 20:00…all saunas were turned off, eventhough you say your spa is open till 22:00. (So we stayed 15 min in infra sauna, cause that was the only one we could turn on by ourselves.) Do you really expect customers to come to reception every time they want to enter spa and bag you for turning it on??? Cause otherwise write it down in offer, so we know what we can count on… (Once you have schedule and opening hours..you should stick to it. Especially when it is a part of service for YOUR customers.)

I'll start with the room. The apartment was clean and nice, and immediately upon entering, we immediately noticed how warm it was. Found out that the air conditioning was centrally controlled and could only be turned on if the outside temperature reached 24C. The reception agreed to unlock it for us, quite funny and unusual for a 4-star hotel. Another surprise came when they informed us that dinner had to be ordered from the A la carte menu, within a certain currency limit due to the current low number of guests in the hotel, Buffets are available only when a certain number of guests are met, which limited our whole holidays, dining options because the hotel wasn't at full capacity. It wasn't stated before we had booked the hotel. Great! The food itself was disappointing, I've had better fast food than what was served at this hotel, and there wasn't a wide variety to choose from. Maybe 2-4 meals are a choice to go for. Breakfast at the buffets was absolutely shocker as well. One of the mornings there were small flies swarming all over the food, particularly the fruits and vegetables. I've never come across this anywhere before! We were first in the dining room that morning, and it was absolutely disgusting... and it's not the end of this special trip.. To add to our frustrations, we found a PIECE OF PLASTIC in the ice cream, which appeared to be served directly from a store-bought package. We alerted the kitchen staff, and they were made aware of the issue. This small oversight could easily cost someone their life. (I'd add a picture of a plastic piece piece but google doesn't allow me to). Unfortunately, the gym was also out of order during our stay. On the positive side, the reception staff were willing and accommodating, and we appreciated the privacy and tranquillity in the wellness area, where we spent enjoyable time, even tho they tend to turn off the saunas so you have to ask them to turn them on. We also indulged in additional massages and other related services.

Dissatisfied and disappointed. We spend 2 hours to come to the hotel and only then it appears that rooms which allow pets are not available, even though on the website it’s possible to book the room and it shows that we should pay additionally. No one answered phone 3 times when I called to ask additional information. On the website it show that pets are allowed, charges may be applicable, what means that if the room is available, we can book it and pay additionally, doesn’t it? Please, edit this information on the website because we wasted our time and energy to come to this place.
