Hotel Best Costa Ballena

English family of 4 with 2 young children. We had a wonderful time at Best Hotel. So family friendly, Staff were helpful, our room was ready for us even though we arrived early. Check in was easy, reception staff speak English well. We booked a superior room (Highly recommend doing this as you get access to the nicer restaurant, one meal in the grill restaurant, bottled water in your room daily, access to the rooftop pool & access to the spa facilities). The cleaning staff did an amazing job, the hotel was busy but felt clean & our room was mopped & well freshened every morning. There is plenty to occupy the whole family. Splash park was a favourite with our eldest. The beach is accessed via the hotel, it’s a beautiful beach . I loved how everything was in Spanish in this hotel, a lot of all inclusive hotels in Spain lose their Spanish feel from catering to English. This hotel is authentically Spanish & I liked being able to speak a little Spanish. The main restaurant is a bit chaotic & food can be a little repetitive. Also the snack bar didn’t offer a great fresh selection, with sparrows trying to eat the snacks. However, if you have a superior room then you have access to Atlantica restaurant & the food was so delicious here and of a higher standard & it is more relaxed in there. I highly recommend this hotel if you want a great value - family friendly all inclusive, with a beautiful quiet beach location. We also walked 3 miles to the Spanish town of Chipiona (We recommend this) (Can be visited via taxi for 15 euros. Reception will call you a taxi).

Definitely a family hotel experience but exceptionally clean with every facility for families and beautifully landscaped. Super close and convenient to the beach. Difficult to find something to complain about but there was just one thing - the towels in the room were useless. Thin, old and I preferred my own beach towel! The staff were everywhere and very helpful and friendly - it really was just the towels......

Excellent hotel with some space for improvements. Overall we had a nice stay as family (2 adults, 1x 3year child), Hotel is perfect for families as a lot of activities for kids are available. Rooms are very big, comfortable and clean. Service is really on top-level. Only downside are the omnipresent paper based processes for guests when not all-inclusive is booked. The food also have space for improvement (higher quality, not the dishes itself).
