Lovely hotel, very clean. Stayed bed breakfast and evening meal, although does have all inclusive available. Pool good for younger children, as shallow sloped entry and steps, rather than ladders. Has disabled reserved areas by the pool and at dinner, with ramps to access areas and lots of lifts. Also chair lift for access to pool. Does have an indoor pool, but you have to wear swimming caps to use it. Back gate practically opens onto beach. Sea lovely, but rapid, steep drop off, so water quickly over head height, with strong tidal currents.
We are here with two kids (1 and 5). We are half board, but there are enough restaurants at walking distance for lunch. The Spar supermarket is right across the hotel if you want to lunch for less money. The pool is nice, but a bit crowded (of course it’s high season so understandable). Food at the hotel is great and what you can expect from a 4 star hotel. Love the wok! We have a family apartment with a small Kitchen. It is nice and enough room for all of us.
I’m coming here in July and while I expect it to be very Spanish orientated, I won’t be happy if I am treated differently than them. I am coming from England and it’s not the first time someone has said on here that this hotel seems to treat the English differently. Edit : So I am now back from my stay at Hotel Best Roquetas and my review is as follows : I enjoyed my stay here, the staff are attentive and friendly, although I can’t say that about the Spanish people, the food hall was full of rude people waiting for you to move for them, not using manners and some even directly barging their way into you to get to the food, although it is irrelevant to the hotel, I think guests of other nationalities should be aware of this when selecting this as their hotel. The food was of decent quality however I don’t think there was enough variation, some dishes were very nice, the cakes were delicious. I appreciate some dishes were catered to Spanish people but after all we were in Spain and I respect that. The pool although small felt bigger once you were in it and has slides so it was I feel it was decent enough although like others say, it can get crowded especially when they do aqua aerobics. The room was clean and tidy but are showing a little bit of wear. So overall the stay was pleasant, I would probably consider hotel again in the future, I think it is borderline 4 star but I don’t think this hotel deserves some of the mean comments because it does feel like they try their hardest to please.
