Hotel Bienestar Termas de Moncao

We stayed at 'Hotel Bienestar Termas de Monção' for three nights. It is situated at a convenient distance from Monção city, which is reachable by a 10-minute walk. The hotel is in a tranquil environment with less noise. The Minho River is in front of the hotel, along with a small park. The thermal spa is also situated very closeby, so it is easily accessible from the hotel. The upper floors were accessible by an elevator. The room looked a bit old and may need a face-lift, but it was sufficiently spaced and clean. The bathroom was spacious, and hot water worked without an issue. Towels, soap, and amenities were available. The staff was welcoming and supportive.

It wasn't bad at all, but it wasn't perfect either, for a 4* Hotel I was expecting a bit more. 1. The room are in a much needed maintenance in some areas, like the refrigerator of the mini bar is a bit too much loud and I could hear it when the time for sleep came, and the closet smells a bit of mold, oh and the digital keylock wasn't working... :-D but it was a positive experience in the end. 2. The food for the dinner is good for the asking price, and the breakfast quality and variety is very good too, this was a very positive point. 3. The internet connection isn't very good, but isn't bad either, the force of the Wi-Fi signal could be better and the speed could be a bit higher too, this is considering that is a 4* Hotel, I would say that it's ok but not great. 4. The TV are too small in our opinion and the quality of the signal is bad, this is not a positive point at all. 5. The staff was all very friendly, helpful and professional, this was a very positive point too.

The worst experience. My husband booked one room for my birthday aniversary on 10 December. Special to use the termals and spa. After almost 2 hours driving we arrived and the receptionist don't have the badge with the name first minus,second ambiance is cold,third we was informed that spa is closed, this information was not disclosed on the website. After we decide to go to the room the worst part was the room with the wall completely wet and full of mold. We asked to change the room and receptionist informed us that don't have the rooms available, but we checked on booking and have available rooms. We went to another hotel Don't recommend
