Hotel Black Boutique

Correction: Anton LeVay wishes he designed this hotel, but he did not. Nor is it still affiliated with Best Western, as noted below. Incredibly, incredibly weird, from the antique store reception area (complete with what appears to be a devotional area to a demonic sculpture), the black and red color scheme, dime store books, the sliding entrance door, weird Japanese elements, odd framed art, and . . . well, everything else. Genuienly pretty amazing. Also perfectly fine as far as hotels go. We booked it for about 75 usd per night not knowing what it was. One of the most memorable places we've stayed. I wish the roof were open, but maybe next time. This place should be all over goth Instagram.

This is a very eclectic and charming place. The staff is nice, friendly, professional, especially the chef. It's like staying in an antique shop/library/collectors paradise. Our only complaint is that the mattress is unbelievably hard and harsh for me as a severe arthritic.

We hade cockroaches I our room. The roof terrace was so loud in the evening you could hear it in the room. No problems if you do party's but for people who book a hotel to rest this is not the place to be. Even as we said that it is very noisy the staff said that they knew and we could join the party if we wanted. But we wanted to rest and not to party. Furthermore the housekeeping probably wanted to be nice and sorted all our clothes which weren't in the suitcase and sprayed a lot of perfume or fragrance in the room. Unfortunately this was to much and made it uncomfortable. But the bed was ok and comfortable. The breakfast was okay but nothing special. The location is okay but it might be nice to know there i prostitution directly in the street infront of the hotel which didn't bother us or affected us. All in all a noisy hotel with bug's and not comfortable for a vacation or a good rest.
