Hotel Blaue Gams

We had a really pleasant stay at this beautifully designed countryside-style hotel. The attention to detail in the decor is impressive, and the hotel offers stunning panoramic views of the old town of Ettal and the monastery. Free parking is conveniently available right next to the building. There’s a lovely outdoor area with lawns and lounge chairs, perfect for relaxing and taking in the view. The wellness area was a great bonus — it includes saunas and relaxation zones, and is open twice a day at no extra cost. The hotel’s restaurant serves a varied and tasty menu at reasonable prices. Our room was very clean, included a fridge and even a complimentary bottle of water. The bathroom was especially spacious with excellent water pressure. On the downside, the standard room was quite small, and there was no kettle in the room. Also, access is via stairs only (just one floor up, but something to note for those with mobility issues). The check-in process was also longer than expected due to many questions. Still, we had a wonderful experience and would happily recommend it.

This was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at during my travels. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The balcony was beautiful with a gorgeous view. The Local towns were nice to explore and it was a good base location

Great experience. The sauna was epic! It has this massive pot/cauldron that drips water over a pile of lava rocks. They also have a cold shower thing outside where you can view the landscape. The included breakfast was also really nice. If you are out this way, I would stay here (as long as you don’t mind not having A/C in the rooms, which is basically all of Germany).
