Hotel Bodega El Juncal

The location was on a very lovely and quiet vineyard just outside Ronda (10-15 minutes). The rooms had a good size and were very clean. Also, the restaurant was good and the whole hotel seemed well-tended. Free parking was available. Negative: The Wi-Fi was very slow and the staff barely spoke any English which could be a problem for international guests not speaking Spanish

Almost everything about this hotel is outdated. Lots of things are broken (switches, lights, sunbeds) and the bath and shower did not look very inviting. Very big rooms, but hardly any furniture. Our room had a balcony, which was nice. Mediocre breakfast, but served with friendliness. When you come by car or motor cycle: don't park under the trees. Everything will be sticky after a couple of hours.

Absolutely disappointing. Not sure where the good reviews are coming from. Our visit (3 nights in October 2024) was a total disappointment. The hotel itself could be great but seems to have no management at all. Broken stuff everywhere, even garbage around the pool. Countless very cheap looking printouts taped everywhere, like “don’t touch this”, “do not open” etc. Really sad given the how good it could actually be (or how nice it once was). Would not recommend at the moment.
