Hotel Botanica

Stayed here June 2025 for 2 nights and I was pleasantly surprised. The only inconvenience was that my room was in a separate building to the reception/ breakfast area - but it was just a short walk around the corner. There are also 3 or 4 flights of stairs to climb to reach the rooms; there isn't a lift in the building which wasn't a big issue for me but could be an issue for some. My room felt a little cramped once I laid my suitcase open but it was very clean. The bathroom was spotless, and the bed and pillows were very comfy. I was staying here when the weather was 34 degrees but I had no issue as the AC worked perfectly. The receptionist was lovely and welcoming, I had no issues with checking in or checking out. Unfortunately, I didn't get to experience breakfast here but I had a very comfortable stay and would definitely return (with a smaller suitcase).

Nice room — clean, quiet, with a pleasant view of the botanical garden. However, we had an issue with our Agoda booking: the payment went through, but upon check-in we were told it hadn’t been received. The reception staff couldn’t help, and only when the manager arrived did the hotel contact Agoda. In the end, we had to pay again, though thankfully the money was later refunded. Check-out is at 10 AM, which we weren’t informed about in advance — something to keep in mind. Overall, it’s a nice hotel, but for the price, we expected better service and communication. It’s probably safer to book directly with the hotel to avoid such issues.

Very below average experience. The reception is located on a quiet street, but the rooms are in a different building (no elevator) on the main street and it's noisy non stop. The AC wasn't working properly so it got pretty cold inside. They were also unable to provide parking even though I tried booking in advance.
