Hotel Boutique a Esplanada

Absolutely excellent, wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay again the room puts to shame many 4 star hotels in which I have stayed- excellent size of room, fantastic big double bed with excellent mattress excellent range of tea/coffee with extras.e Excellent shower (even though the holder didn't hold the 'second' shower at suitable height- but that jam certain will be fixed) Having the fridge and microwave is a great extra and there are more than adequate extra towels and linens available. We arrived incredibly late and worried that our room would no longer be available- this was not an issue since all the info we needed to access the room had been emailed to us. Excellent.

A home away from home. The owners and staff are friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much for them and they were always willing to share information and ideas. They were interested in our daily outings and engaged us regularly to hear about where we had been and what we had enjoyed. The accommodation is crisp, modern and clean and left nothing further to be desired. Absolutely awesome value for money with sumptuous breakfasts. It is well located for walking distance access to almost everything you need.

The woman in the hotel is nice but I had a major issue with the owner. Upon arrival we found out that they were busy with renovations of the bathroom next to our room. The stairs where full of bedsheets to avoid dirt on the Carpet resulting in the fact that it was dangerous to walk the stairs. Besides that, the noise was extreme and not something you want during your holiday. He said at 17.00 it would be finished, I had my own building company and they were still busy with a Kangoo to remove tiles and concrete. The project would not be finished at 17.00 for sure. We asked to refund our money so we could go to another hotel. He refused to do that but we couldn't handle the noise, dust and grinding smell anymore. The owner became aggressive and we moved away before it would escalate. We did the normal way via booking.com to get our money back but the owner refuses everything. Now we will take the next step.
