Hotel Boutique Casa Carolina Santa Marta

Beautifully and recently restored hotel in a central location of Cartagena. Comfortable and luxurious but approachable, young locals clearly coming here to sip a quiet coffee while working or meet with friends for a drink on the roof. We were happy to come back for a second stay after a quick trip to the Rosario Islands - most importantly the staff was welcoming and helpful, there was real hospitality on offer here.

We had such a great time at Casa Carolina! The hotel is right inside the Walled City, so everything is super close restaurants, bars, cute streets to walk around… perfect location! The vibe of the hotel is cozy and relaxed, and the staff is seriously the nicest,everyone made us feel so welcome. We totally loved the restaurant (the food was amazing!), and the cocktails at the rooftop bar were next-level . Plus, if you feel like trying something else, there are tons of great spots just around the corner. 100% recommend it and would definitely go back!

Absolutely lovely! Our only regret with Casa Carolina was that we couldn't stay longer. From the airport pickup to check out, the staff were so incredibly kind. They went above and beyond when travel issues made us arrive a day late, only charging us for the nights that we were there. The room was simple but clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is charming. The free breakfast was amazing!! The cayeye and eggs were delicious, as were the fruit jams and juices. The location was convenient. We walked down by the ocean and could easily walk to the market where public buses stop. If you're going to be in Santa Marta, I would definitely recommend Casa Carolina!
