Hotel Boutique Playa Canela Ecuador

A lovely little place to stay when visiting Salinas. It's a little hard to get to, but it is right up against the coast and the view is lovely. The rooms, lawn, and pool were clean. We were the only guests staying at the time, and the hosts were very accommodating with preparing breakfast earlier for our early departure. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and so was the little dog running around. :)

Good place to getaway from it all. Secluded and lovely grounds. Small boutique hotel with a very small beach entry way. Wait for tide to go down before being able to swim. Great breakfast. Lovely animals on grounds. We had a group of 5. Room could use some updating, but all else made up for that. Getting there is a lil strange, looks like a ghost town until you get to the doorway to hotel. The masseuse is one of the best I've ever had.

Out of all the hotels my husband and I stayed at during our time in Ecuador, this one was by far the best, most comfortable, and most memorable. We were the only guests while we stayed here, which was great! (We went at the very end of June, which may be slow season in Salinas?) Juan, Cecilia, and Carlos provided excellent hospitality and allowed us to make the place our own while we were there. The beach is accessible from right outside the front door to the property and is long and quiet, great to walk on during low tide. The waters are so pleasing to swim in too! There was plenty of tasty in-house breakfast provided and many local restaurants to enjoy. If you are headed to Salinas, spend a couple nights here!
