We had a truly pleasant stay at Vila 135, a boutique hotel where comfort, thoughtful design, and genuine hospitality come together. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and care. The receptionist shared local tips that clearly came from someone who knows and loves the city. Our room was spacious, with a well-designed layout and subtle architectural details that show attention to both aesthetics and function. The overall renovation of the building is elegant and cohesive. Breakfast is served at the hotel’s own restaurant and reflects Albanian culinary traditions with a contemporary twist, a true local experience to start the day. A short but memorable stay. Vila 135 is a great example of how small-scale hospitality can deliver something truly special.
Pros The bed was very comfortable, and the room overall was great. The shower was spacious with strong water pressure, and both the room and bathroom were clean. The receptionists were incredibly kind, helpful, and professional. We spoke with two, and both spoke excellent English and even a bit of Spanish and Italian! Cons On arrival, you’re met with a strong smell of cigarette smoke. To reach the hotel reception, you have to walk through a smoky café/restaurant. It’s not a great first impression. It feels like stepping back into the 1950s when smoking indoors was common. The hotel is lucky to have such kind staff; without them, we might have left and chosen a smoke-free place instead.
This is a good, solid choice for a stay. The room, while small, was incredibly clean and detailed. It's clear they care about the guest experience, as it came with a shaving and dental kit, and a great selection of soaps and lotions. The premises are decent, though it would have been nice to have a common area to hang out in, as we couldn't use the outdoor tables without buying something. The a la carte breakfast was a nice touch; I particularly liked the plate with frittes, fig jam, and honey. They also give you a fruit plate, though most of the fruit wasn't ripe enough to eat. The staff was cordial and helpful, and a special shout-out to Anisa for being so attentive smiling. Recommended 👍🏼.
