The staff was very friendly and helpful, which definitely made the stay more pleasant. There is parking available on-site, but be aware that it comes at an additional cost. The room was clean and generally acceptable, but the bathroom was a downside – very small, with a noticeable smell of dampness and an unclean toilet. The ventilation grate was extremely dirty, which negatively affected the overall impression. On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent – very tasty, fresh, and with a great variety of options.
We recently stayed at Hotel Bratislava and found the experience to be average at best not quite what I would expect from a 4-star hotel. The facilities are quite basic. We stayed in a triple room, which was spacious, but the toilet was surprisingly small and felt cramped. Breakfast was also underwhelming. On our first morning, there were no spoons or glasses available at the buffet. I had to ask the staff to refill them, and it took quite a while before anything was done. The service during breakfast felt disorganized and slow. One moment that really stood out was when we ordered food from an outside restaurant via Bolt. Unfortunately, the food arrived without utensils. When we asked reception if we could borrow some cutlery, we were told no, and that it wasn’t their department—despite the hotel having a breakfast buffet stocked with utensils. This response felt unhelpful and not in line with the level of service guests should expect, even from a more modest hotel. Most hotels would have gladly helped in this situation. On a more positive note, the hotel was clean, and the room size was decent. Also, Denis at reception was very helpful during checkout, especially with sorting out parking—which we appreciated. This was in contrast to the unaccommodating attitude of the female receptionist who declined to assist with the utensils. Overall, while the hotel covers the basics, the lack of amenities and some inflexible and unhelpful service really brought the experience down. I wouldn’t consider this a true 4-star stay.
The hotel rooms were clean and tidy, which we appreciated. However, our experience at the restaurant during breakfast was disappointing. When we arrived—30 minutes before the restaurant's closing time—the staff showed little interest in assisting guests. Basic items such as normal water, hot water for tea, and juice were not refilled, and requests were met with indifference. The staff's behavior was not welcoming and came across as quite rude, which left a negative impression. We hope the hotel management addresses this issue to improve the guest experience.
