Third consecutive summer visit to Hotel Byblos... just when you thought it couldn't get any better.. it did. There were a number of small but significant improvements this year. Upgrades to the terrace, additional rooftop, Zuma on site and many others. Coupled with the incredible service and ambiance. All the staff were stellar per usual but a a special shout out to my dear new friend Laurent working hard while bussing tables. What a great service and just overall energy he provided. I look forward to being back next year. Thank you!
Great Hotel and Breakfast. However, my experience at the spa left much to be desired. While I was using the sauna and hammam for about half an hour, two separate groups of fully streetwear-clad guests were shown inside—while I was lying there naked. This was extremely unprofessional and made me feel very uncomfortable. A spa should prioritize guest privacy and maintain proper etiquette, especially in such sensitive areas.
I went here one night with friends to check out the rooftop bar and restaurant, and it was a complete disappointment. The doorman was letting other people in without any issue, but when it came to us, he refused entry. It wasn’t until I asked him how much it would cost to get in that he suddenly allowed it—then grabbed the cash straight out of my hand without even naming a price. I believe I ended up paying around 300 euros, but it happened so quickly and so rudely that I’m still not sure. The whole experience felt like a blatant shakedown. Absolutely unacceptable behavior, and I will never return to this place. The hotel should be aware of how their doormen are treating guests. I’m still shocked and disappointed, and I want to warn others so they don’t get ripped off like we did. I will never return.
