Hotel Büyük Şahinler

Well i mean location wise its very good location around 8min to Grand bazzar,rooms for ourselves who are not picky were ok,they are bit old but good depends what you are looking for we use them only to slepover whole day we been out exploring Istanbul,so on that side we didnt had any issue,prices are affordable as well reception is good as well normal,polite

The hotel is well-located for exploring the old city. Clean rooms, professional staff, but no extra blanket in the room. Except no extra blanket, all is quite very good:)

I would never recommend accommodation in this hotel! The employees speak very little English, not to speak about other languages. Each time you requested something, the answer was always ”tomorrow”. Rooms are very small, it is rather a 2 star hotel, not a four star, I hardly got space to place my suitcase. Very bad wifi impossible to use it, almost impossible to watch something on TV as only the channels were not working. Some rooms have infiltrations. I got a money incident that disappeared from my suitcase. I made a complaint and I tried to have a discussion with the manager of the hotel. After waiting for around 4 hours to be received in his office, I just entered in his office. Impossible to have a discussion because ion his poor English, secondly because he was always speaking to the others, and the conclusion was that all his employees are very honest. Like magic, money appeared after 2 days. They told that it was fully my fault as I did not use the case. The case was out of service.Very misogynistic attitude of the Manager and of the reception employees. All the employees have an unpleasant attitude towards their clients and unprofessional. Breakfast was very poor, if you wanted to have some breakfast, you had to go at its opening, otherwise you could find anything. Very bad coffee and coffee machine was not working properly. If wanted some coffee, you had to press by your hand the coffee machine door. The food displayers were not anymore refilled when food was over. I would not recommend this hotel and will never booking it again or stay in it. I booked it through a travel agency. After the money incident, the room cleaning was stopped.
