Hotel Cala di Mola

In this day and age when people are kind and welcoming you feel blessed. We arrived on Elba island and had an Airbnb set up. Mainly because our dogs were with us and we wanted some space. We turned up to that and it was a disaster. It’s 7 pm and you are tired and stressed. We drove down into Mola and asked if they had a room. Smiles and a huge yes. We had a great sleep and the team at the hotel are just lovely folks.

Very nice people as I had to cancel my reservation on booking due to last minute enconvenient and the hotel did accept it with no penalty despite it was not agreed before. I look forward to being there in future as they deserve a try !

Overall it is a very good hotel with a great location, super pool (with sea water) and great view. + (plus) • dogs are allowed • separate entry to every room • balcony with great sea view • room cleaning every day • beach towels • separate Beach area - (minus) • very poor breakfast selection: only scramble egg as a warm dish, a lot of sweets, and nothing like keto or protein friendly selection. • a lot of restrictions for the dog owners: only selected places at the lunch cafe, no dogs allowed on the beach and in the pool area - you have to go to the dog beach (1 min walk) and pay for it. • it is not possible to walk to Porte Azzuro - only by car or any other transport
