We had a great vacation at Hotel Cala Fornells. We stayed in the superior suite and had an amazing view of the sea. The breakfast buffet and dinner were always varied and really tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only small downside is the road right in front of the hotel, but thanks to the fantastic location (beautiful bays, fairly close to Peguera), it didn’t bother us much. We’d love to come back!
Lovely lunch with a view – highly recommended! We had a wonderful lunch at the restaurant on the terrace of Hotel Cala Fornells in Mallorca. The setting is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning view over the bay. I had a delicious pizza with goat cheese, and my husband enjoyed the fish and chips – simple dishes, but both very well prepared. The atmosphere is elegant without being too formal – a touch of luxury, yet relaxed and welcoming. It’s such a pleasure to swim at the nearby beach and then just walk 20 meters up to the hotel for a nice lunch and a glass of wine. So convenient and enjoyable. Highly recommended for a charming and comfortable lunch by the sea!
Hotel Cala Fornells is a beautiful beach-side hotel, with really welcoming and friendly staff, particularly the receptionists. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a renovated room on the third floor of the main building, with a fantastic view of the sea. As it was our anniversary, the hotel also arranged a complimentary bottle of cava for us. The hotel has a private parking facility at €10 per day and as a hotel guest, you can reserve the beach-side beds up to 10am for the day (€6.50 per bed/umbrella). The gym is small but well equipped with weights and cardio equipment, and the large pool area overlooks the sea. The breakfast is very simple, and personally I do prefer the option to have eggs freshly cooked rather than buffet style. We also had lunch there once, but it was very basic. The coffee was also awful. We opted to go into the town for dinner. I would recommend stopping en route to the hotel to get snacks/water as there is no shop beside the hotel. Overall, the hotel is perfectly situated on the seafront, without it being your typical strip or shopping area, for example like Port de Soller or Paguera town. The main highlight of this hotel is the view you wake up to and also the small beach in front of it that isn't overly packed and has crystal clear water. It is a 20 minute walk (uphill!!) to the actual town, which was lovely to do if you are able to but compared to other parts of Mallorca it isn't picturesque.
