Hotel Cannua

Our stay was incredible. It was romantic and peaceful and the staff were lovely. They knew it was our honeymoon and went above and beyond to make it special. The pictures of the view from the rooms and our cabana do not do it justice. The coffee, chocolate, and permaculture tour were fun and informative, the massage we got was fantastic, and went on a few lovely day trips. Also some of the best food we’ve ever eaten.

Lovely place, perfect for disconnect, rest and recharge. Is very peaceful, love the philosophy behind the whole place, food and design. It’s beautiful. They have an amazing service and the food is great too, I love that everything is locally sourced and every dish is amazing and new, they experiment a lot with their menu and that’s amazing, great quality. Love the experiences and activities that they offer. Is you want to disconnect to connect, if you love nature this place is perfect for you.

Obviously I don’t post and we travel the world. But when things are beyond bad I should speak up. The pictures are very deceiving. The suites are completely open to the elements. Which means you are sleeping with bugs/ creatures crawling on you at night. We literally had them everywhere and when we asked the front desk. We were given bug spray and oil. We checked in late and the road was too dangerous at night for the car to come back and get us or we would have left right away. Restaurant staff were nice but had a bug in French toast. Left the next day after a sleepless night swatting and killing bugs. I do like nature outside but not in my bed. This is an update!! People as they asked for photos and videos. I have plenty more. I’m not wanting anything just to warn others what I wish I knew. I didn’t sign up to go camping. I was hoping for an amazing experience and yes the restaurant guy that lunch was super friendly and knowledgeable. Kindness has nothing to do whether there was bugs everywhere or not. Again outside I completely understand but in my room and bed is where it’s not acceptable. As for road being dangerous 🙃 I just went through other reviews and if you read them others have complained and the management comes back harshly. Reviews are to be taken and improve. Do better!
