I genuinely enjoyed my stay at hotel Cartagena plaza . To my pleasant surprise we received a VIP experience on the 10th floor , including great customer service , a wonderful breakfast spread and a romantic dinner at Lucia restaurant. Alfredo , Luis , Juan , Andres and Caesar were all very helpful and accommodating as well . I highly recommend and would stay again when visiting Cartagena
We had a "deluxe double suite". Quite pricey (200$ CAD / night). It was down right dirty: dust on all surfaces, mold in the shower and a fluid which I'd rather not think about too much splashed across the wall above the bed. The room it self looks like a waiting room in which beds were placed, really strange. Breakfast was below what we got in 3stars hotels during our stays in Cartagena and vicinity. Check out is also werd: they make you wait in the lobby and don't let you exit before someone inspect your room to make sure you didn't steal/break anything. Then front desk literally gives you a small paper that tells the people at the door you're good to go. A real jail-like experience. Overall, you simply can get better value for your money elsewhere in Cartagena
AC is weak and room was hot and stuffy, WiFi in room (4th floor) is weak or non existent! Breakfast was chaotic and service slow. An old hotel which is on need of renovations.
