Hotel Casa Barlovento

Not for families with toddlers. Our experience was good, the food was amazing, the view is a dream. But, from the first moment I realized that it wasn’t a place for toddlers, they didn’t put a place on the table for my 3 yo daughter. And in the last moment after the checkout and have lunch there she fell asleep on my arms they asked to leave immediately or they will charge one night more, it wasn’t nice!

The location is absolutely stunning and took my breath away—the landscape is like paradise. However, for Colombia, the price feels a bit high, especially considering the pool area could use some TLC. I ended up giving a 3-star rating because, during my stay, a guest on the first floor mentioned that some of his money was taken from his room while he was at the pool. Fortunately, the hotel provided security footage, which showed someone entering the room. The police arrived the next day and suggested it might have been an employee from one of the three hotels in the gated area. If it were a thief, why would they only take some of the money and not all of it? This situation made me feel really insecure about the safety of the property.

They stole my AirPods from my room. I let the hotel staff know that they went missing. Weeks later on ‘find my’ app, I could see someone at the hotel using them. I complained to the hotel administrator ‘Herol’. He said he found my AirPods and identified the staff using them. His story is that the person that stole them was no longer at the hotel, but gave them to another staff member that is using them. Since calling a week ago - that person continues to use them. Harol will not let me talk to the owner.
