Hotel Casa Elliot

Great hotel, clean rooms. They occasionally have free wine in the evenings downstairs. Air conditioning doesn’t blow too hard in our room, but easily solvable if you keep one of your room keys in the electricity slot while you’re away. We figured out there’s a technique to flush the toilet - you can’t press the button slowly. You have to kind of jab it (not hard, just fast). Staff were super helpful to call cabs for us. Really enjoyed ourselves here.

To be honest I was disappointed in the service in Spain in general, but what experience I’ve got with people who work at this hotel ….. unbelievable!!! Special thanks to Noelia! Hotel is nice, well decorated and breakfast was lovely. Great location, close to the metro and loads of bar, restaurants locally. Only issue was our room was incredibly hot. When we raised this we were informed the air con is completely turned off all of winter (it was 22 degrees outside at the time and 30 degrees in the room). We raised this with front of house who was incredibly rude. She said they would speak to the hotel manager (they didn’t) and get an engineer to come (they didn’t). We had two pretty poor nights sleep. We could have opened the doors to the balcony but it was on a busy main road. We weren’t offered an alternative room or even a fan. It’s a shame as it’s a decent hotel but turning the air con off completely, is not what a 4 star hotel should be doing, combined with their rude staff, it’s 3 at best. Seems others had the same issue so isn’t isolated. My advice, spend the same and go to an actual 4 star hotel.
