Hotel Casa Roland Golfito Resort

I give it 5 stars because of the lady at the front desk, as she was super helpful and was willing to change our reservation. But I have to be honest that the place needs a refresh, the food is not good, there was a bad smell in the first room we were offered. But the bar is beautiful. A good value for your money, but the current state is a shadow of what the hotel was or could be.

Totally enjoyed our stay here. Room very clean, beds perfect/ comfy..slept great!!! Pool outstanding, service pool side great!! Drinks were good too. Very quiet laid back 4 days we spent there. Just what was needed. Highly recommend Oh breakfast options, well way too many!! Loved their coffee!!. Need car to get around Golfito, what an adventure we had!

It's a vestige of what it once could've been a very luxurious and interesting place. The building is old and not maintained. The food disappointed me severely. First the drinks. They don't know how to make any of the drinks they advertise in their menu, maybe they should look at the recipes in Google first. I tried two different cocktails. One of them was just a disgusting mess that I couldn't even drink and the other one seemed like they didn't even add enough liquor to the cocktail. That scared me away from dining here. I did have breakfast the next day as it was included. Of course, mediocre. Nothing to write home about. I think you could just make it simpler: since there's barely people there, do it a la carte or with a grill. Your, stale, breakfast offering is borderline sad.
