This hotel had a very different and special vibe, felt almost royal! The interiors were classic, and the vintage-style lift added a touch of old-world charm. Located right in the main market, everything was close and walkable, yet the place was peaceful and quiet inside. Loved the blend of heritage feel and convenience. A memorable stay for sure!
The prime location of the hotel was the star attraction. Stayed for one night at the property. It is a stone's throw away from the Kandy lake and the tooth relic temple. I stayed in a room from where I could directly view the White Buddha statue.
I travel a lot and I am usually not picky. But this hotel was a BAD EXPERIENCE. It's expensive, it has an aura of pretentiousness....bad start: i arrive at 19.00 , the room isn't ready. There is no hot water in the shower at any time. The breakfast is VERY expensive and consist of 2 pieces of toast and half a banana!!! Very unpleasant experience. Not recommended.
